This limited edition piece will be available on RECORD STORE DAY 2010 - Saturday, April 17th, 2010.
It happened here. Musicians from near and far drifted through our oasis. They played instores, performed shows, recorded albums. Some you don't know yet, some you already love.
The compilation contains live tracks culled from performances by BONNIE "PRINCE" BILLY, LOU BARLOW (Dinosaur Jr, Sebadoh), MAGNOLIA ELECTRIC CO, PHOSPHORESCENT, DAMIEN JURADO, WOVENHAND, THE ENTRANCE BAND and MAPS & ATLASES. It also includes exclusive studio recordings from The Delicious (Bloomington), Prizzy Prizzy Please (Chicago), Rooms (Indianapolis), Tremendous Fucking (Bloomington), Alexander the Great (Bloomington), and Whoa!Tiger (Indianapolis).
This LP + 7" is a collaboration between three Bloomington enterprises who represent three distinct spheres of the music world: Russian Recording (recording studio), St. Ives (record label) and Landlocked Music (retail store). Together they give you not just a snapshot of the Indiana scene but also the influence of the times.
Each LP + 7" possesses lovingly handmade artwork from Woodruff & Sons and In Case of Emergency Press and is strictly limited to a one-time pressing of 750 copies. A digital download of the tracks comes with purchase.
