We can't stock everything all the time, so please let us know if there are any special orders you'd like us to bring in for that certain someone this holiday season. We will do our best to have it as soon as possible! We will be restocking as quickly as possible to get everyone what they need. Stay warm and dry out there! Please try to support local biz in all your holiday shopping. Not only do you support the small business owners in your own community who employ your friends and peers, but the taxes gathered support the programs and projects in our city as well! If you think Amazon is going to fix the pothole on your road... think again. (Did you know they don't even pay a single dollar in taxes to the state for all their sales in Indiana?!) Wanna know more? Bitch Magnet - Bitch Magnet (Temporary Residence) .................................................. Bitch Magnet was formed at Oberlin College in 1986. Immediately following the release of its debut in 1988, the band garnered rapturous reviews and established itself among the top-tier of America's independent music underground. The band's reputation continued to grow with tours, and the subsequent releases of Umber (prominently included on Mojo's list of "Lost Albums You Must Own") in 1989 and Ben Hur in 1990. The latter have been frequently cited as a key inspiration for what would become known as "post-rock." The deluxe 3LP/3CD package include all 3 albums, plus more than a half dozen rare and previously unreleased tracks, a total of 34 songs, remastered from the original, restored analog master tapes. Black Keys - El Camino (Nonesuch) .................................................. With the hard-rocking El Camino, guitarist-singer Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney conjure up an exhilarating, stadium-sized sound in collaboration with producer and friend Danger Mouse. El Camino boasts a no-nonsense brilliance: The pace is fast, the mood is upbeat, the choruses unfailingly addictive made for shouting along, preferably in a large, sweaty crowd. A band already at the top of its game has gotten even better. Dead Milkmen - The King in Yellow (Quid Ergo) .................................................. A new release from Philadelphia's classic punk jokers, the Dead Milkmen! Their first in 15 years! Lots of great, melodic punk pop songs with their patented hilarious lyrics, plus some songs that touch on darker subjects. Back and at their best. The Roots - undun (Def Jam) .................................................. The first conceptually-based album from The Roots. Undun quickly reaffirms the creativity of the outfit that are notorious for pushing the envelope. The album's first single is "Make My" featuring Big K.R.I.T. Undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-99). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out 'on the corner'. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented- postmortem- and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun. Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures (Universal) .................................................. A collection of previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions of existing classics, as well as a couple of brand new Amy compositions. Following her tragic passing, some of the producers and musicians who worked closely with Amy Winehouse, among them Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, spent time listening over the many recordings that Amy had made, before, during, and after the release of Frank and Back To Black. It was said by all who worked with Amy that she never sang or played a song the same way twice. It quickly became apparent to Salaam and Mark that they had a collection of songs that deserved to be heard, a collection of songs that were a fitting treatment to Amy the artist and, as importantly, Amy the friend.
