Our full party details will be announced next week! Look out. New Arrivals for March 26th .................................................. Joe Bonamassa - An Acoustic Evening (J&R) .................................................. As Joe grows his reputation as one of the world's best blues guitarists, he is also evolving into a charismatic star and songwriter of stylistic depth and emotional resonance. His ability to connect with concert audiences is transformational, and his latest project captures that magnetism and maturity. Recorded at the historic Vienna Opera House last July during a very special unplugged tour, played to a limited audience over 7 European shows. Varying from his electric blues shows, this presentation was an all-acoustic concert performance, making it a unique and very special show. Gene Clark - Here Tonight: The White Light Demos (Omnivore) .................................................. The Byrds had been America's answer to The Beatles and topped the charts with their 1965 debut single, "Mr. Tambourine Man." They followed it with a string of folk, and country-influenced songs, many of them from Gene Clark's pen. This CD offers a glimpse into the songwriting craft of Clark at the inception of the compositions that would become his first 70s solo album, White Light. Of these tracks, 6 appeared in final form on White Light. Two appeared in final form as bonus tracks on the 2002 reissue. One track is an alternate version of a song that appeared on a Flying Burrito Brothers compilation. And 3 songs have never been issued previously in any form. Depeche Mode - Delta Machine (Columbia) .................................................. Delta Machine is Depeche Mode's highly anticipated 13th studio album. The album was produced by Ben Hillier and mixed by Flood. Martin Gore said of the release, "Writing this album was incredibly daunting as I wanted the sound of this collection to be very modern. I want people to feel good about listening to this record, to get some kind of peace. It's just got something magical about it." Dave Gahan added, "With this release we've completely shifted our idea of how to create an album. When we hit a wall where we realize the album is beginning to sound too normal, we'll mess it up and really give it that organic sound." The deluxe edition includes a bonus CD with 4 additional tracks, accompanied by a 28 page book including photos by artistic collaborator Anton Corbijn. Dido - Girl Who Got Away (RCA) .................................................. Dido collaborated with a "who's who" of hit makers including Brian Eno, Jeff Bhasker, Rick Nowels and Greg Kurstin to create an album of finely, self-penned songs and soul-baring pop with electro, folk, hip hop, ambient and dance infusions. The album is a captivating collection of well-crafted songs and stunning production. "...it sums up the last few years for me. Taking a step back from it all and going off to have the whole happy adventure of starting a family and making an album that I really am so proud of. And now I just can't wait for people to hear it." Little Green Cars - Absolute Zero (Glassnote) .................................................. "This record constantly jumps between two contrasting perspectives: the beauty of a reckless youth and the fear and confusion caused by our ever-pending adulthood," says lead-singer Stevie Appleby. "It's a hopeful and naive look at love and life in general but also deals with isolation, unrequited love and madness. We wanted to express both a feeling of strength and vulnerability, so the work had to encompass both the light and dark." The album is produced by Markus Dravs whose credits include Arcade Fire, Coldplay, and Mumford and Sons. The Milk Carton Kids - The Ash and Clay (Anti) .................................................. Anti Records is pleased to announce the signing of acclaimed Los Angeles based duo The Milk Carton Kids. The ensemble's album culminates a whirlwind first year of the band's existence. In that short time the duo of Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan have built a vibrant following with the simple purity of their music. They've toured with the Lumineers, Old Crow Medicine Show, Punch Brothers, and KD Lang. "A sweetly dazzling variation on close-harmony vocals, part Simon & Garfunkel and part Everly Brothers, with occasional acoustic magic tricks" - NY Times Mojo Magazine - Music Film Issue (Mojo) .................................................. From The Girl Can't Help It to Searching For Sugar Man, via The Beatles, The Blues Brothers and Brian Jonestown Massacre - and with close-ups on Bowie's barmy Cracked Actor, Dylan's cranked-up Dont Look Back, and more - MOJO celebrates 100 mind-blowing melds of music and moving image. Plus Wayne Coyne, Shuggie Otis, John Martyn, Black Sabbath, Undertones, Bowie, Blur and Jesus & Mary Chain, plus a FREE CD! Harper Simon - Division Street (PIAS) .................................................. The album is a departure for Simon: it features a sound that's much more driven by electric guitars than his alt-country flavored debut. Simon co-produced it with Tom Rothrock, who produced 3 albums for Elliott Smith and Beck's Mellow Gold, among others. Division Street was recorded with a small coterie of guest musicians including Pete Thomas from Elvis Costello's Attractions on drums, Nikolai Fraiture from the Strokes on bass, vocals by Inara George, Feist's musical director Brian LeBarton playing synths, as well as Nate Walcott from Bright Eyes and Wilco's Mikael Jorgensen. The Strokes - Comedown Machine (RCA) .................................................. The Strokes highly anticipated fifth studio album. "All The Time" will be the official first single off the new album. The Strokes consist of Julian Casablancas (lead vocals), Nick Valensi (guitar), Albert Hammond, Jr. (guitar), Nikolai Fraiture (bass) and Fabrizio Moretti (drums). The band has released four studio albums, Is This it (2001), Room on Fire (2003), First Impressions of Earth (2006) and Angles (2011) which have sold over 5 million albums worldwide. Wavves - Afraid of Heights (Mom + Pop) .................................................. Now a duo consisting of guitarist Nathan Williams and bassist Stephen Pope, they sound bigger, brasher, and shockingly more professional than ever. The product of more than a year of writing and recording, it expands their sound while remaining true to the band's vision. Working with producer John Hill (known for his work with M.I.A. and Santigold, as well as with hip-hop acts such as Nas and the Wu-Tang Clan), the band found a willing party in creating what they felt was the truest expression of what they wanted. The Vinyl Zone .................................................. Hum - You'd Prefer An Astronaut LP (SRC) Husband and Wife - Dark Dark Woods LP (XRA) Also Released This Week ..................................................
